Life Skills

As AEC members train and entertain over 200 days per year, they are developing valuable pre-employment skills.
AEC activities are age-appropriate and incorporate physical, social, spiritual and academic development components.
Outside of school hours, AEC can be involved in a variety of productive and time-consuming AEC enrichment activities including Cabin Time, SPACE, Create, VOICES and Re-Mix.

Enrichment Activities


Opportunities that lead to formal accreditation include coaching and judging exams, Volunteering, First Aid, UK Youths Youth Achievement Scheme, Morgan Stanley Future Directions, and weekly sessions to develop leadership, literacy and lifeskills.

Seminars, journalling and weekly SPACE sessions assist literacy and numeracy development.
Members clock up work experience in the form of performance experience, media experience, and audition experience.
AEC receive a certificate for each activity for their portfolios.
Members are given opportunities to take part in seminars, training courses and exams.
AEC stay active and involved, and learn about healthy eating & living.

By engaging young people and their families, AEC promotes social inclusion and builds communities.
