Angela epitomises the spirit and ethos of the Ascension Eagles having joined as a team member at the age of 14 and winning numerous titles, before going on to coach the AEC teams for the past 22 years during which their achievements include placing top 3 in the Nations Cup at the USASF World Cheerleading Championships in 2010 and winning European Gold in the 2012/2013 season.
Her expertise in coaching and choreography have taken her across the world judging and competing in places as far afield as Germany, France, Finland, Slovenia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA. She also coached the first UK team to get a bid to the Cheerleading World Championships in 2005. Because of her many ‘firsts’ and successes, Angela is regularly invited as a guest speaker at Cheerleading Conferences and events. And for the last three years has co-managed and co-coached the English National team for the ICU Cheerleading World Championships winning Gold in April 2017 and 2018. During the 2012 Olympic Games Angela coordinated all of the cheerleading performances across Basketball, Volleyball & Handball. Alongside all of this she has also choreographed for various high profile sporting events including the SuperCup Final, FA Cup Final & the NFL Wembley games as well as for Beyonce's clothing brand Ivy Park, and the National Theatre. In 2011, Angela was recognised by the Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to young people.
In September 2016, Angela's services to cheerleading were celebrated by Future Cheer; she was the first inductee into the Future Cheer Hall of Fame.
