  • ICU Levels 1-6 (Novice-Elite) in stunts, tumbles & tosses

  • Regional Director for USASF Credentialing

  • Safeguarding and protecting children

  • Emergency sports first aid certification

  • Enhanced DBS checked.

Angela epitomises the spirit and ethos of the Ascension Eagles. She joined as a team member at the age of 14, has won numerous titles as an athlete and coach, with some of her highlights over the past 25 years being: placing top 3 in the Nations Cup at the USASF World Cheerleading Championships in 2010 and winning European Gold in the 2012/2013 season.

Her expertise in coaching and choreography have taken her across the world judging and competing in places as far afield as Germany, France, Finland, Slovenia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA. She also coached the first UK team to get a bid to the Cheerleading World Championships in 2005.

 

Since its inception Angela has co-managed and co-coached the English National team for the ICU Cheerleading World Championships. She is a multiple medal winner achieving 2 Bronze, 2 Silver and 3 gold medals. 

 

During the 2012 Olympic Games Angela coordinated all of the cheerleading performances across Basketball, Volleyball & Handball. Alongside all of this she has also choreographed for various high profile sporting events including the SuperCup Final, FA Cup Final & the NFL Wembley games as well as for Beyonce's clothing brand Ivy Park, and the National Theatre.

 

In 2011, Angela was recognised by the Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to young people.

In September 2016, Angela's services to cheerleading were celebrated by Future Cheer; she was the first inductee into the Future Cheer Hall of Fame. And in 2018 she was recipient of the ICU International coach of the year award- a testament to all the work she has done to help make Team England a force on the International stage.
