Ascension's JLT got TOUGH- Results!

Three weeks ago, the Ascension Eagles JLT ran the Tough Mudder 5km event at the Stratford Olympic park to raise funds to purchase a backdrop for their gym, Talent Central Cheer and Dance.

All donations have been collected, and we are pleased to announce that they, along with their chaperones, have raised a huge total of: £1394.04- nearly £500 over their original target goal!

Director Angela Green said: 'I'm really proud of all those involved in the day, particularly the JLT members for their tremendous achievement! It was a pleasure to see the future leaders of this programme really pull together and do something amazing! Obviously, It's great that we will be able to purchase a backdrop, but more importantly, the JLT members can see just what they're capable of when they put their minds to it- they've proven themselves to be real role models and a credit to AEC.

Simone, JLT member and coach to AEC's youth 2 team Dynasty, was 'proud to take part in such a difficult task, but raising money for AEC was worth it! For me, working alongside the other JLT members to complete the course made the experience even more memorable; I can't wait till next year!

The JLT, their families, and all those at AEC, would like to say a huge thank you to all those who donated. It means so much to be able to add this long wished-for finishing touch to our gym!
